"Chelsea's Prayer"
The model for this piece was a second grade student of mine. She has such an angelic, doll-like face that I wanted her to pose while praying. The detailed highlights of her braids, along with her cute baby face and skin tone seem to reflect the sincerity of her act of prayer.
